Place Coded Note

Used to place a coded note, which is a general symbol often used to identify equipment. The coded note consists of two symbols: a shape such as a circle containing a note, and a leader with a terminator such as a closed arrow.

  • Ribbon: Building Design > Drawing > Place Annotation > Coded Note
Tip: The size of the coded note is determined by the Scale Factors settings.

Note Lists additional information to display in the callout.
Leader and Terminator (Include/None) Specifies whether a leader and terminator are used.
Coded Note Main Callout Determines the shape for the note graphic.
Placement starts with symbol/terminator If the arrow points up, the leader placement starts with the terminator. If the arrow points down, the leader placement starts with the graphic symbol.
Coded Note Terminator Determines the type of terminator if a leader line is used. Options are: Closed Arrow, Closed Circle, Closed Square, Open Arrow, Open Circle, Open Square.
